short. simple. SOPHISTICATED

. . . . a photographer's thoughts, dreams, and inspiration . . . . by sarah giunta

This would be the first time I have released these images of Lark. We were actually just playing around in one of the photo studios at the Academy of Art University. We had both agreed to help out a photo instructor with an open house that day for prospective students. Lark modeled and I helped with hair and makeup, and ultimately ended up doing a mini photo shoot for myself.

I really love just how natural Lark is with her looks and her attitude in front of the camera.

I love Lark and I love this Bronco.

This was just a fun, quick, spontaneous photo shoot on the outskirts of San Francisco while waiting for some fellow photographers to join our group for the day. Lark was already all made up but just hanging out in her hoodie in the Bronco. Seemed like a perfect photo opportunity for me, especially when it came to the neon yellow shows.

Wedding bells are in the air…

Obviously you can easily see my passion for the fashion side of the photography industry, but every now and then I draw myself out of the world of models, makeup artists, and stylists to capture someone’s special moment.

The top image is from Alice and Preston’s wedding in San Rafael, California. Gorgeous outdoor wedding, lovely weather, and even more beautiful bride.

The bottom image is from Katharine and Robert’s wedding in Oakland, California. Beautiful traditional Catholic ceremony in a stunning sunlit church with such a sweet and lovely couple.

As much as I do enjoy the environment and adrenaline rush I get from an amazing fashion photo shoot, I really do cherish getting to take part in capturing someone’s most exciting, special, and intimate moments in their life.

Again, from an older photo shoot, but many of these images weren’t released. This is Jordan from the Look Model Agency before we went a little crazier with teased hair and dramatic makeup. As gorgeous…and a little intimidating…as she was after all her hair and makeup was finished, she was just as lovely with her natural look as well.

So here are some photos that were actually taken a while ago but may have never made their debut on to the web before now. This is Karli from the Look Model Agency. I love how natural everything is about her. Her look, her movements, her expressions. She was so sweet and wonderful to work with.

Still one of my favorites from the Shoe Project.

Seductive. Mysterious. Intriguing?

Don’t worry, the Shoe Project hasn’t faded away…
